Birth Equity Venture Pitches
Dr. Joia Crear-Perry, defines birth equity as, “the assurance of the conditions of optimal births for all people with a willingness to address racial and social inequities in a sustained effort.” We know those assurances are not being made for many Black, Brown and Indigenous birthing people. In this section, hear from two leaders who discuss their research-backed approaches that are actively moving the needle towards equitable outcomes for BIPOC birthing people pre- and post-partum.
